@Psycho Mantis - That sums it up nicely.I agree completely.
ME3 is a bland and overdone sequence of linear, repetitive shooting to narrative with dialogue choices to shooting. It looks average, runs average and plays average.
It receives near perfect scores from most major sites.Fueled by hype and exaggerated review scores it screams 'I can be average and sell millions and so can you'.It is a shame what the mainstream dub 'masterpieces',when in fact only a few fragments of mastery are to be found within.
We will come t...
^fair enough.I don't agree with the score but I can understand your doing so and appreciate that you aren't a ruthless enforcer of it.
Forget 100/100, I would suggest scores in excess of 100000/100000.
Makes it seem much more grand, epitome of perfection, helps to forget that in reality,we have a 7/10 game fueled by hype and exaggerated review scores.
If 'all future video games' follow this model for ' narrative perfection ' the future of gaming is looking rather bland and overdone.Bland and overdone or 10/10.
In between mundane, linear shooting sequences we have ' narrative perfection '.
Can't wait.....
I agree.
The 10/10 circus is bizarre,I personally feel an 8/10 is also a bit high but somewhat more genuine and agreeable.
DA2 is/was one of the most mundane, repetitive, bland games I have played considering the pedigree of the developer,or apparent pedigree as I am finding ME3 to be actually less interesting and more overrated and hyped than ME2...
Bioware isn't half the genius developers of untold masterpieces that many portray them as imho.A disturbing trend of late.
ME2,3 are decent enough but nowhere near the 9/10 10/10 range.
DA2 is a generous 4/10.My opinion.
CNN is a bad source for game reviews.Stick to analysis of current analytical techniques.
Both Uncharted and Mass Effect are highly overrated.
Good games no doubt but I could game peacefully without either.
Downloading ME3 as typing via controller
Opinion piece :)
Anything besides more Skyrim drudgery would be great.
Maybe something in the water......
LOS was an incredible game imo.The last 20% wasn't as awesome as the rest but I couldn't put the controller down regardless.
The atmosphere alone is unmatched by other games in the genre. They can't all be GOW,of that I am glad.
Looking forward to any news of the next LOS :)
smaller pieces of garbage aren't necessarily better pieces of garbage.
"New to you" isn't always good to you.
you can run an engine on nothing but good intentions but it needs oil eventually...
or a new engine
A Fallout with Skyrim engine?.
Post apocalyptica with sneak-bow win condition and repetitive dead zone environments....
fortunately with an educated and outspoken audience, such overrated pieces of work are subject to intense scrutiny. For good reason.
11 hours in you are thrown into the remnants of another game for 20 hours.
You switch roles more often.Various opportunities to revisit areas already explored arise.
31 hours in you abandon all hope.....as yet another pointless piece of dark matter falls from yet another pointless creature in this tiresome little mess
one gun,one 'map',one love.
dlc
two gun,two map,two love
balance is for idiots, offset potential advantages with further potential advantages.
less reliance on last gen software to push next gen hardware.
diversity,unity,prosperity through these.
remove the man from the cave.
Often finding the cave is not so easily removed from the man...
I point shoot think....in that order.
intuitive, social online with an emphasis on co-op not op-dep is the future.
Online is not ruining gaming, the people online often can.
I'm a little more concerned and a little less interested this year....
In later years it came to be known as Mass Effect 4.What started as a cancelled foray into the mundane universe of Fps later became a multi billion selling....foray into the mundane universe of Fps gaming.
Never officially cancelled, rather left to simmer until the time was deemed right.Boasting 9 frames per second and dialogue choices so profound as to be meaningless it showed bored shooter fans how action & storytelling can be merged.
9.9/10
